The adidas NMD R1 Black Red is part of the adidas NMD R1 line, built as running shoes inspired by 80s aesthetics and modern performance technology. It is constructed with an upper made of breathable black mesh with synthetic overlays offering maximum airflow. Black 3-Stripe branding is overlaid in synthetic material, and a white midsole with full-length Boost technology completes the design. Its laces are black, and a black outsole accompanies the white midsole.
The adidas NMD R1 Black Red, nicknamed "Bred", was released as part of a "Bred Pack" in conjunction with the partnered "Clear Red" sneaker with an inverted colorway. Red EVA insert overlays complete the look. adidas branding appears on the inserts in red and on the back and tongue in black.
