The adidas NMD R1 Black Tri-Color is a lifestyle shoe that reconfigures an 80s silhouette with modern technology and noticeably improved comfort.
The adidas NMD R1 in a Core Black/Collegiate Royal/Footwear White colorway sports a black adaptive knit upper, with comfortable fused overlays creating the classic adidas 3-striped look in red, white, and blue. A black plastic heel clip provides support, and an elongated heel tab makes slipping this shoe off easy. The white Boost midsole runs the length of the shoe, providing plush cushioning and responsive energy return. Red and black EVA midsole plugs add support and durability. The rear-foot midsole plugs connect in a U-shape underneath the upper to form a stabilizing cup. The outsole is black carbon rubber in a lattice-work pattern, while adidas branding appears on the heel clip, the heel tab, the tongue, and the black midsole plug.
What we love most about this sneaker is that it is fashioned from at least 70% recycled material, some of which is Parley Ocean Plastic. The adidas NMD R1 Black Tri-Color was released on September 20, 2018, for a retail price of $130.
