The Jordan 1 Mid Legend Blue is a mid height basketball sneaker, featuring an upper in patent Legend Blue leather, accented by White overlays on the tip, lace panel, and heel. The Nike Swoosh accents the overlay construction in White, while the Jordan wings logo in Legend Blue appears on the outer heel. Finishing it off are the Jumpman logo on the tongue and the outsole, also in coordinating Legend Blue.
American athletic wear brand Nike put itself on the map when it developed the Air Jordan 1 for NBA player Michael Jordan in 1984, going on to release the shoe to the public in 1985. The shoe was so successful that Jordan became a brand in its own right. The Jordan 1 Mid pays homage to Michael Jordan's legacy, with its Legend Blue color story, the colors of his alma mater, the UNC Tar Heels.
