The Air Jordan 14 Retro Laney (2023) is a special colorway of the classic Jordan 14 Retro silhouette that has been a street favorite since its debut in 1998. It pays tribute to Michael Jordan's former high school, Emsley A. Laney High School in Wilmington, North Carolina - drawing inspiration from their team colors.
The Laney colorway features Varsity Royal predominantly with accents Varsity Maize, black and white. The shoe's upper is dressed in Varsity Royal suede, while Varsity Maize accents can be seen on the Jumpman branding, tongue, and heel. Black details include the outsole, heel tab, and inner lining, while white covers the midsole. It also maintains some signature features of the Jordan 14 model, such as the molded heel counter, padded collar, and the dual Zoom Air units in the forefoot and heel.
