The Dr. Martens 1460 Smooth Leather Lace Up Boot Black is a reboot of the original Doc Martens boot, first launched on April 1, 1960. Whether it's worn highly polished or artfully scuffed, this boot delivers iconic style and legendary durability.
This eight-eyed boot is a testament to meticulous craftsmanship. It is constructed from smooth black leather that has been Goodyear Welted, a process where the upper and sole are sewn together and heat-sealed, ensuring improved comfort and hard-wearing resilience. The high-top boot with a wider and more rounded toe sports a black and yellow embroidered heel tab that aids in putting on and taking off the boot and matches the branded insole. The DMS sole, composed of black and gum PVC, features signature grooving on the sidewalls and a rugged traction tread on the outsoles.
The standout aspect of this boot that we most enjoy is the yellow stitching at the foxing. Not only does it hearken back to the color of the insole and pull tab, but it also gives the distinct Doc Martens look.
