The Nike Air Max 2013 White Metallic Silver is a low-top running shoe featuring a mesh fabric upper in white. The Swoosh appears on the sides in Metallic Silver, which coordinates with Air Max branding encasing the heel. The mid- and outsole in White and Metallic Silver display and house the full-length transparent Air unit.
American sneaker brand Nike has forged many new sneaker technology paths, and the Air Max series represents the challenge posed to designer Tinker Hatfield in the 1980s. Nike had created the Air technology and wanted to make the Air bag visible from the outside of the shoe. The Air Max 1 launched the visible Air unit series in 1987. The Air Max 2013 continues the series, representing the evolution and possibilities Nike pursues when merging form and function.
