By the time 2018 rolled around, Kobe Bryant had already been retired from the NBA for a couple of years. But that didn't stop him from continuing to team up with Nike to put out new versions of his signature sneakers. The Nike Kobe AD Mid Pure Platinum was one of the many examples of this.
This Kobe sneaker had a bright platinum upper that gave it a very clean look and feel. It also featured a metallic Swoosh that gave it a higher-end appearance and a navy blue outsole that provided contrast with the rest of the sneaker.
But our experts believe the best parts of this shoe were all the symbols on it celebrating Kobe's biggest NBA achievements. For example, it had Roman numerals under the right sneaker's tongue celebrating his five NBA titles, and it also had 16 championship trophies for the Lakers on the left sneaker's heel.
