A running shoe built for comfort, the Nike Zoom Vomero 5 Cosmic Clay goes a step further as a Nike icon and pays tribute to legendary coach and Nike co-founder Bill Bowman by emblazoning his name on the insole.
This entire shoe comes in a shade of Cosmic Clay, a dusty orange inspired by the planet Mars. The base of the upper is lightweight, airy mesh that features tonal leather overlays coursing across the forefoot, toecap, collar, eyestays, and heel. Tonal TPU forms a supportive side-panel cage that integrates into the lacing system to help ensure a snug closure. This same TPU forms a vented heel counter that provides both stability and breathable comfort. The tonal foam midsole contains a Zoom Air unit for ultimate responsive cushioning and rests upon a tonal rubber outsole.
The most stand-out detail of this sneaker even stands out in the dark. The 3M reflective accents on the overlays on the upper help increase your visibility as you get in your steps after sundown. The Nike Zoom Vomero 5 Cosmic Clay was released on January 16, 2024, for $160 retail.
