The Nike ZoomX Vaporfly Next% 2 Ekiden Scream Green is a running shoe designed for racing and inspired by the Ekiden, a Japanese long-distance relay event.
The Scream Green colorway of the Ekiden Nike ZoomX Vaporfly Next% 2 features an upper of bright, light green mesh for lightweight breathability and synthetic underlays for support. A black Nike Swoosh adorns the lateral collar, while a more prominent black Nike Swoosh marbled with light green begins on the medial side collar and wraps to the toe box. A miniature Nike Swoosh is also on the medial side, just above the forefoot mudguard. A black tongue skews towards the shoe's lateral side and matches the black laces and the black sock liner with red details. A light green insole features Nike branding.
One of the most impressive aspects of this shoe is the stacked and highly functional sole unit. The thick foam midsole in green to yellow gradient has ZoomX cushioning and sits atop a black and green rubber outsole that provides impact absorption and traction. The Nike ZoomX Vaporfly Next% 2 Ekiden Scream Green was released on December 1, 2022, for a retail price of $210.
