The Nike Air Max Sunder SP Kids of Immigrants Sun Down is part of a collaboration between Nike and Kids of Immigrants, an LA-based lifestyle label dedicated to telling the stories of immigrant communities.
This Special Project sneaker dresses the Air Max Sunder from 1999 in a gradient mimicking the fuchsia and dusty purple hues that evoke dusk. The upper is made from tear-resistant Ripstop material with a TPU cage layered on top. Instead of laces, a zipper closure secures the Ripstop shroud, while two pull tabs assist with taking off and putting on the shoe. In terms of technology, Air-sole units can be found in the heel and forefoot, providing responsive cushioning.
The left shoe displays ‘KIDS OF’ and the right shoe features ‘IMMIGRANTS.’ The Nike Air Max Sunder SP Kids of Immigrants Sun Down was released on November 21, 2024, and retailed for $190.
