The KAWS Holiday Shanghai Vinyl Figure Black depicts their recognizable "Companion" figurine lying down while holding a moon.
The Black iteration of the KAWS Holiday Shanghai Vinyl Figure was released to commemorate the "KAWS: HOLIDAY SHANGHAI" exhibition in Shanghai, China, in September 2024. The figurine is a smaller version of the huge reclining Companion and moon that occupied a place of prominence in front of the Shanghai skyline. Measuring 9.5 inches by 5 inches, the collectible is crafted from premium black vinyl. The off-white moon displays a crater pattern and is made from a fluorescent material that glows in the dark. The doll remains devoid of color, with the exception of yellow marks where the eyes should be.
