The New Balance 2002R Rust Oxide takes an aesthetic popularized in the early 2000s and fuses it with high performance sneaker technology.
The upper of the Rust Oxide colorway of the New Balance 2002R features a base of dark orange mesh. Suede overlays in different shades of orange cover the upper, with perforations for breathability in the overlay at the heel. This shoe also sports brown leather overlays on the toe box and heel to add both style and support. The dark orange suede tongue matches the plush sock liner with padding at the collar. Hits of gray leather appear on the side-panel "N" branding and on the heel.
What we love most about this shoe is it high-performance midsole and outsole. The sail and beige ABZORB midsole provides compression resistance and cushioning to absorb impact and the ABZORB SBS heel cushioning offers comfort and stability. The black rubber of the outsole provides grip while the sail N-ergy delivers optimum impact absorption and the beige Stability Web technology supports the arch. The New Balance 2002R Rust Oxide was released on August 28, 2022, for $120 retail.
