The Nike Air Max Plus Metallic Gold debuted to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the Air Max 97, which it re-released the very next year. This shoe dropped alongside the Metallic Gold Air Max Jewell in women's sizing, inspired by the Air Max Plus.
The upper of the Nike Air Max Plus sneaker combines mesh and leather detailing in a shimmery Metallic Gold colorway. In addition, it has a University Red Swoosh on the side and the tongue for branding. The sneaker has black eyelets, nylon lace loops, and a black inner lining. This silhouette comes with a Metallic Gold Air unit around the midfoot that works together with the midsole to provide shock absorption and cushioning. The black rubber outsole adds an elegant finishing touch while providing traction.
The standout feature of this sneaker lies in its innovative Air Max technology, which incorporates visible Air cushioning units in the midsole.
