The Nike Cortez Basic Leather Black White (GS) is the grade school-sized version of the classic Cortez sneaker designed by Nike co-founder Bill Bowerman. It pays tribute to the OG model from 1972 by utilizing premium materials and maintaining the heritage design.
The GS sneaker features a straightforward colorway of Black and White. The all-black leather upper boasts tonal stitching as well as the signature Cortez toe overlay. A bright white Swoosh checks across the side panel and is the primary detail on the sneaker. The lace cage houses black laces and a metal pendant embossed with ‘Cortez ‘72’ in cursive-like letters. The white leather heel tab includes ‘NIKE,’ while the tongue displays a white ‘NIKE’ logo tag.
