Kobe Bryant was a big soccer fan growing up in Italy, and one of the clubs he followed the most was FC Barcelona. Nike helped celebrate Kobe’s fandom by creating a special pair of Nike Kobe 11 EM Low Barcelona sneakers for him in 2016.
Although these Kobe 11 sneakers didn’t have any FC Barcelona branding on them, they paid tribute to one of Kobe’s favorite clubs with their bright orange and crimson mesh upper. They also featured a black Kobe logo on the tongue along with black Swooshes on the sides and a black midsole to keep them on the simpler side while letting the colors on the shoes shine bright.
In our expert opinion, the best part about this shoe was that it helped reveal something about Kobe that some fans may not have known in terms of his love for FC Barcelona. It was also one of the boldest Kobe 11s ever unveiled. The Nike Kobe 11 EM Low Barcelona was released on October 15, 2016, when it retailed for $160.
