The midsole continues the monochrome Black aesthetic, balanced by a Gum outsole with a University Blue insert and visible Air units on the front, sides, and back.

With the Air Max Ishod Wair, Nike SB teamed up with American pro skater Ishod Wair, who won the World Championship of Street skateboarding in 2014. The Air Max Ishod Wair features skate shoe hallmarks, such as rugged suede and leather, with the added Nike features of Air Max comfort.
