The Nike KD 4 The Real MVP is a high-top basketball shoe featuring a leather and mesh fabric upper in Summit White. Accented by a perforated midfoot strap that displays the Nike Swoosh in Hyper Royal, outlined with Metallic Gold, the tongue features KD branding with a Metallic Gold basketball, which reappears on the rear heel next to the Nike Swoosh. An airbrush-style midsole ombrés from Summit White to Hyper Royal.
American sportswear brand Nike has forged many successful partnerships with professional athletes, and this aspect of the brand has had a major impact on Nike's untouched status and reputation. To honor NBA champion and MVP Kevin Durant's acceptance speech at the 2014 NBA MVP awards, Nike created The Real MVP version of the KD 4, filled with subtle branding that references his moving speech.
